Jeyo Mobile Extender

by Wela on 22 February 2007 00:52

I had about 700 SMS messages in my inbox in my old iPAQ and was looking for a method to download all those into the PC as there were many important stuff among the SMSs. Checked with several Windows Mobile users but nobody had any clue on how to do this. It's a shame that ActiveSync or new Windows Mobile Device Center in Windows Vista doesn't allow to download or synchronize SMS message. Found an add-on for Outlook named Microsoft Outlook SMS Add-in (from Microsoft) which is a pretty good one which integrates SMS inbox with outlook, but still I couldn't find an option download the existing messages into Outlook.

After searching for couple of days found this tool called Jeyo Mobile Extender from Jeyo Inc. Thanks to this tool now I have all my old SMS messages inside outlook. Woo! Hoo!

I' going to purchase the tool soon :)

DreamScene - Ultimate Extra

by Wela on 21 February 2007 21:29

Folks who are working on Windows Vista Ultimate might have already seen this amazing feature.

DreamScene is one of the cool Ultimate Extras which enables you to put a video as your desktop background. Amazing thing is that it's not going to eat up your memory and processing power. Basically it requires only a small power from your GPU to decode the video. Among the requirements, your computer should be capable of handling Aero interface and the Translucent Selection feature must be enabled. In my machine when I put a video into the background memory usage goes up by about 3% and processor usage goes up by about 10% - 15%. But this doesn't work when the machine is connected to a projector. Not sure whether it is due to a resolution matter.

Anyways, DreamScene is awesome!!!

Still no respond from HP / Informatics ...

by Wela on 6 February 2007 03:47

This really SUCKS!

It's been almost a month since I posted about my 90000/= paper weight. Even though several responsible guys saw this post (I know they saw it), still there is no response. So I had to call the contact person in Informatics and do a followup regarding my useless iPAQ. In my point of view when a customer has to chase or beg to get the services he is entitled to get, he will NEVER come back again.

Anyways my contact person promised to give a possitive response on monday. so i'm going to wait till monday :)
