I gotta very interesting mail yesterday from a .NET Forum member who has seen the link partners program (http://linkpartners.dotnetforum.lk) just asking what on the world is a Link Partners Program. In simple terms its a method to drive more traffic to websites.
Concept is you put a link to my site on yours and i put a link to your site on mine. It gets more effective in terms of search engine optimization if it is a triangular link. That basically means your site is referred through a link on another site and there is another 3rd site which contains links to both sites … Well! it could get pretty complicated.
So … on the .NET Forum we were planning to have only linked partners. Already 60 slots filled and there are about 30 requests pending. I never got a chance to finalize those in my crazy schedule. Sorry Folks. You’ll hear back from me soon with some updates too. And there are few who don’t display the .NET Forum icon on their site anymore … Will be removing those sites from the program.
