Link Partners ?

by Wela 8. January 2009 23:08

I gotta very interesting mail yesterday from a .NET Forum member who has seen the link partners program (http://linkpartners.dotnetforum.lk) just asking what on the world is a Link Partners Program. In simple terms its a method to drive more traffic to websites.

Concept is you put a link to my site on yours and i put a link to your site on mine. It gets more effective in terms of search engine optimization if it is a triangular link. That basically means your site is referred through a link on another site and there is another 3rd site which contains links to both sites … Well! it could get pretty complicated.

So … on the .NET Forum we were planning to have only linked partners. Already 60 slots filled and there are about 30 requests pending. I never got a chance to finalize those in my crazy schedule. Sorry Folks. You’ll hear back from me soon with some updates too. And there are few who don’t display the .NET Forum icon on their site anymore … Will be removing those sites from the program.

by Wela 7. January 2009 22:32

Windows Live Writer is a desktop application that makes it easier to compose compelling blog posts using Windows Live Spaces or your current blog service. Blogging has turned the web into a two-way communications medium. Live Writer was created with the goal to help make blogging more powerful, intuitive, and fun for everyone. Writer has lots of features which we hope make for a better blogging experience. Some of the most exciting features includes WYSIWYG Authoring, Photo Publishing, Map Publishing etc.

Well! In case if you don't have a blog at the moment we strongly recommend that you start one. Not because everybody is doing it because you also have a story tell the world. If you don't have one you are not living ... There are many free blog service providers on the web. Windows Live Spaces, Blogger, BlogSpot, are few.

If you are interested in having your own blog in the .NET Forum, following how you can configure Windows Live Writer to publish into it. Please feel free to contact admin@dotnetforum.lk for more details and support on getting your own blog activated on the forum.
