Just thought about writing about the launch event even though it is a bit old news.

Exciting fact is within two days the registrations got filled. This gives a very good examples about the level of enthusiasm for .NET in Sri Lanka. And the theme selected for the event is ROCK!. Few days ago Indika explained me about the theme and enviorenment at the event premises. I'm not going to write about it. Guys! you have to come and see. Because words are not going to be good enough. It's so fu***** cool.

Other thing is that the feedback i'm getting about the www.vslaunch.com site is amazing. Everybody loves the site. Well its a joint effort by myself and Razor. For the design I only gave him the concept what I had in mind. Razor nicely put the images and ideas together and turned it into a kick ass design. Great work man. And the coolest is the cartoon rocker on the top. Can you believe that he drew that with the mouse. I dont think i'll be able to draw over it with the mouse. For all these time I was telling him to study this - that in .NET and be a good developer because is he a very active member in the .net community/user group, and also a very commited buddy in all the exibitions, workshops etc. Hell! I was wrong. He is better as a designer. Good thing is Microsoft's line of graphics tools are coming out (Expressions) So he still got a cool future in Microsoft Platforms. Dude ... keep up the good work. I wish you can become an MVP in Expressions range of products. (hope Microsoft is going to award in that category in the future). All the cartoon pics in razo's blog are really cool. Poor fella draw all those with the mouse. I wonder what he will do if he got the tablet writing instruments .... I'm sure there will be couple of WONDERS :)        Hey ... trust me ... your cartoon characters are better than some of the Disney cartoon characters.
